RECORD I

One window.

Included with every scanner.

RECORD I runs the transport, the light and your camera's shutter from one screen on your Mac, then turns every frame into a positive in your own look. It comes with KBS MKI and MFS MKI. No licence to buy, no subscription.

This is the real interface. Press play, drag the film, switch the light.

Connect. Light. Advance. Record.

Camera, controller and shutter release each show their status. Play unlocks when all three are ready.

White for a single exposure, RGB for red, green and blue in sequence, or set each channel yourself.

Press Space and the roll starts. The film stops on every frame.

Each frame arrives as a RAW file, numbered by its place on the strip.

From negative to your look.

Capture is the quick part. RECORD I then converts every frame to a positive and learns how you grade, so the next roll opens in your style.

C-41

ECN-2

B&W

E-6

A pipeline for each process.

C-41, ECN-2, black and white and E-6 each get their own conversion: orange mask removal from a film base sample, inversion and a colour transform per stock, trained against Noritsu and Flextight reference scans.

Your style, film by film.

Every edit teaches the Personal Style Engine. New frames open already graded in your look, kept separate for each stock.

The sliders stay yours.

Suggestions land on the normal controls. One key switches between the base conversion and your style. Change anything and it learns again.

Negative beside positive.

Split view puts the raw negative next to the converted frame, at 100 percent if you need it. Check grain and edges against the original before you export.

Your style, in plain words.

Your Portra 400 style

“You run Portra 400 about 300 K warmer than the base, with lifted shadows and lower saturation.”

Each profile describes its tendencies, so you always know what the engine is doing.

Stays yours. Stays on your computer.

On device

Scans, edits and learning stay on your Mac. Learning runs in the background and pauses on battery.

Roll back anytime

Restore an earlier version of a style, leave out a week of experiments, or reset a profile.

One profile per look

Keep separate styles per client or per job on the same stock: warm for one, clean for another.

Starts from the lab look

A new stock opens in the base conversion and borrows from similar films until it has enough of your edits.
