Your film.

Scanned at your desk.

The film advances itself. Your camera records every frame. A 10 frame roll of 6×7 in under a minute. A 36 exposure roll of 35mm in about two and a half.

Two scanners. One platform.

Most photographers shoot more than one camera system. KBS MKI is built for 35mm, MFS MKI for 120 from 6×4.5 to 6×7. Start with the format you shoot most, add the other when you need it, and keep the same workflow either way.

One column for both scanners.

Switching from 35mm to 6×7 changes the distance between camera and film. Levelling by hand every time costs minutes, and a camera slightly out of square costs sharpness in the corners.

Two scanners. One platform underneath.

Both share motor driven transport, diffuse high CRI LED light and camera based capture. Only the film gate changes.

Motorized film transport.

A feed motor carries the strip through the gate and stops on every frame. Full rolls run without your hand on the film, so scanning stops eating your evenings.

Intelligent image detection.

Sensors find each frame and centre it in the gate before RECORD I fires the shutter, so every file sits the same way, roll after roll. Prefer control? Semi automatic mode measures the distance between shots.

Light built for film.

Diffuse high CRI LEDs light the negative evenly. Switch to RGB and RECORD I captures red, green and blue one after another, giving the conversion a clean channel for each colour.

A gate for each format.

Each gate is built for one film size and holds it flat and square to the lens. Nothing in it serves a format you don't shoot, so there is nothing to adjust or rebuild between rolls.

From roll to file in four steps.

Load

Feed the strip into the carrier.

Set

Mount your camera square above the film. COPY MKI remembers the height for every format.

Scan

RECORD I turns every frame into a positive in your look.

Raw files

Develop

Convert in the software you already use.

RECORD I. Software included.

RECORD I converts colour negative, motion picture, black and white and slide film, each with its own pipeline, trained against Noritsu and Flextight reference scans. Every edit you make teaches it how you grade, film by film. Your Portra 400 stays separate from your HP5.

Connect camera, controller and release, choose the light, and run the roll. Drag the strip or press play.

"I finally can process my images at home in lab quality without the pain of waiting weeks for multiple rools."

Everything manual scanning makes hard, made effortless.

Time returned

Motorized advance cuts the frame-by-frame routine, so scanning takes less of your day.

Smoother workflow

Fewer accessories, fewer adjustments, less friction between rolls.

Even light

The corners of the frame get close to the same light as the centre, so there is little vignette to correct later.

Precision that repeats

Sensor-based positioning keeps scans consistent from frame to frame and roll to roll.

Desk-friendly setup

A compact footprint keeps your station clean and easy to use every day.

Automation within reach

Step up from manual holders without buying outdated lab equipment.

Made with passion. For the film obsessed.
