From roll to file.

Four steps.

Our scanners pair motorized transport with your own camera. The scanner handles the film. RECORD I and your camera handle the capture.

Load the film.

Fit the carrier for your format and feed the strip in, emulsion side down. The carrier holds it flat and square to the gate.

Align the camera.

Mount a camera with a macro lens above the gate, sensor parallel to the film. With the COPY MKI, pick the format preset and the column sets the height.

Scan the roll.

The motor advances the strip and sensors stop each frame in position. RECORD I fires your camera for every frame under diffuse high CRI LED light.

Process the files.

You get camera raw files of every frame. Invert and edit them in the software you already use.

The light path.

Five layers, from light source to sensor. Point at the drawing or pick a layer.

Film in carrier

Held flat and square in the gate, positioned by the sensors and advanced by the motor.
