What is the difference between white light and RGB scanning?

RGB separates color better

White light scanning lights the film with a single CRI 95+ white LED panel, the way a light table does. RGB scanning lights it with separate red, green and blue LEDs, which separates the dye layers of color negative film more cleanly and gives the conversion better color to work with. Both General Film Labs scanners do both.

Designed and tested on real film by photographers who shoot it every week.
